THE BIGGEST QUIZ IN THE COUNTRY!

This year, we’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the corporate houses our students have approached. With 200 teams registering and a 100 companies coming forward as sponsors and partners, we can proudly say that this is the biggest quiz in the country, not just Calcutta.

With the weather in mind, an air-conditioned hanger of 6500 sq. ft. has been constructed on the Calcutta Club lawns and the atmosphere is electric and buzzing with hectic quizzing activity. A huge stage of 32X16 with an LED backdrop and two side screens has been constructed within the hanger.

Registration counters opened at 11.30am.The Quiz began at 12 noon with the written round which lasted an hour. 115 teams qualified for the stratified rounds.

Four well-known faces and names from industry and academia were quiz masters for the stratified rounds. Mr Atri Bhattacharya, IAS; Mr. Ashish Banerjee, professor of IIM, Mr. R. Kalidas, Senior Vice President of Ambuja Realty and Mr. S Devadason, HR Consultant extraordinaire.

The quiz master for the final round is Professor Suman K. Mukerjee, national AIMA Quiz Master. The eight finalists were Orient Industries, Krishna Tissues, Orbit Projects, NIIT, Usha Martin, IMRB, HSBC and Standard Chartered.

First place went to Orient Industries and HSBC were Runners-up. The Krishna Tissues came Third.

All 200 teams were laden with gifts, kits and hampers. The 8 finalist teams went home with gifts and prizes worth more than 5 lakhs. During the course of the day, lunch, tea, drinks, snacks were served for all participants, sponsors and guests. After the final round, participants and guests were served cocktails and dinner along with music and dancing in the Calcutta Club Sports Complex.
