The Inter-Institutional L.N. Birla National Debate began in 1994 as a tribute to our founder Shri L.N.Birla A visionary and philanthropist, Shri Birla exemplified the endless quest for knowledge and self-improvement and aimed to impart the best of the modern and traditional as well as the West and the East to the students of his institutions. Over the years, the debate has grown to become a renowned event in the annual calendar of schools, colleges and universities all over India. In 2008, the school and college rounds of the debate were separated. Since then, the faculty, staff and students of J.D. Birla Institute (Department of Management) and Birla School of Management have proudly taken full charge of organizing the college/university rounds in 4 cities of the country. Every year, with increasing enthusiasm and participation, Chennai hosts the South Zone, Pune the West Zone, New Delhi the North Zoneand Kolkata the East Zone competitions of the debate that is now truly a national phenomenon. This is the year of the 11th Inter-Institutional L.N. Birla National Debate. We welcome the participation of your college / university / institute.
